The Lakeland High School girls’ volleyball team earned a 3-1 win over Churchland High School on the road Wednesday evening.
It was Lakeland’s second win in a row. As the regular season dwindles down, the Lady Cavaliers feel they are heading in the right direction.
“I feel like the girls are back on track,” Coach Monica Bond said. “We are feeling good and we are focusing on the playoffs in a couple of weeks.”
With a tough schedule in the district, Bond believes the type of competition Lakeland has faced has helped them become better prepared for the playoffs.
“We have faced some good teams and have gone to five sets with some of them,” Bond said. “We know that will help us in the long run. I feel like the girls have learned from those experiences and we know what will work for us and won’t work for us going forward.”
