The Suffolk Christian Academy girls’ basketball team opened its season Monday with a 36-22 home win over Lawrence Academy.

Laura Cornette led the way for SCA with 13 points, with Channing Acree and Jadyn Patton adding seven points each. Heather Pearson had 14 rebounds and scored three points.

Coach Kristy Patton has stated coming into the game she wanted the team to get off to a fast start and pick up momentum early in the season so they can string together some wins.
