Linda (Mitzy) Ann Luke Young was born in Suffolk to the late Otis W. Luke Jr. and Evora Holland Luke on July 25, 1951. She departed this earth on Jan. 13, 2020.

Linda received her early education in the Nansemond County Public School System. She graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1969 and attended Norfolk State University in Norfolk. While in Suffolk, she was employed at Andrew J. Brown Elementary School and later by the city of Suffolk.

After moving to Baltimore, Linda was employed as a secretary at Jennings Accounting Firm and as a teacher’s assistant in the Baltimore County School System. She retired from the Baltimore County School System in 2013.

She leaves to mourn: her sister, Barbara Luke, her daughters, Joy (Brian), Jessica (Brandon) and Hillary (Aaron); granddaughters, Brianna Porter and Kaia McCombs, and soon to be granddaughter Jada Johnson, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Linda’s homegoing service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020, at Wylie Funeral Home, Randallstown, Md.
