King’s Fork takes second loss

The Bulldogs took their second loss of the season Tuesday night to Western Branch High School.

King’s Fork faced off with Western Branch in a Southeastern District matchup and fell just short, taking a 73-72 loss.

Cam Edmonds of Western Branch hit the game-winning free throw with six seconds left in the game to give the Bruins an impressive win. Jayden Epps had 31 points to lead the Bulldogs, who had mounted a comeback in the fourth quarter and almost earned another road win. Efrem Johnson of Western Branch led them in scoring with 20 points, with Bobby Johnson adding 17 points.

King’s Fork will look to bounce back Friday on the road against Deep Creek High School. They also will take on Phoebus High School Friday night in their home-hosted showcase. The Bulldogs are now 15-2 on the season.
