The King’s Fork High School girls’ basketball season ended with a loss to Grafton High School.
The Lady Bulldogs season came to a disappointing end just short of a state tournament berth Thursday night at Hampton High School when they took a 47-44 loss to Grafton.
Grafton held the No. 2 seed in the region, and the two teams mostly went back and forth throughout the game. However, a couple of key missed free throws at the end of the game and a missed shot at the last second resulted in the Lady Bulldogs falling by three.
Arlisha Boston led the Lady Bulldogs with 12 points.
King’s Fork finished the season at 17-7, and they also finish as co-district champions, as they went 8-1 in Southeastern District play this season.
