A Suffolk man has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a fatal crash on Saturday.

Rodney Edwards, 54, is charged in the crash, according to a city press release.

Walter J. Sculthorpe, 60, of North Chesterfield, died in the crash in the 4000 block of Godwin Boulevard. It happened in the 4000 block of Godwin Boulevard at 1:40 p.m., the press release stated.

A second victim, an adult female, remains hospitalized in critical condition, the news release stated.

The investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
