Virginia saw a 33-percent increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases overnight from Friday to Saturday.
The case number now stands at 152, according to the Virginia Department of Health. There are 25 people hospitalized, and two people have died — both of them in James City County.
The cumulative number of people tested has risen to 2,790.
The numbers include the first two cases in the Western Tidewater Health District, reported Thursday and Friday in Suffolk and Isle of Wight County, respectively.
