COVID-19 cases increase 18 percent

Virginia saw an 18-percent increase in total confirmed cases of COVID-19 from Tuesday to Wednesday.
There are now 1,484 cases. There have been 208 hospitalizations and 34 deaths, according to the Virginia Department of Health.
The Western Tidewater Health District now reports 13 cases — six in Suffolk, five in Isle of Wight County, and one each in Southampton County and Franklin.
