Sidney C. Wiggins departed this life on April 12, 2020.

Sidney, affectionately known as Connell to his family, was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Robinson Wiggins, and parents, Rudolph S. and Annie L. Wiggins. He was employed and retired from Planters Peanuts (The Kraft Heinz Co.). He was a faithful member of the Greater First Baptist Church Orlando, and he loved the Lord with all his heart.

He leaves to cherish his memories a son, Connell L. Wiggins (Tiffany), of Hampton; a daughter, Tonia E. Mason (Anthony), of Suffolk; a stepson, Karlus Robinson, of Suffolk; his beloved sisters, Cora L. House, of Laurel, Md., Alta B. Mills, of Suffolk, Vanessa Gilliam-Brown (Charles), of Oakland, Calif., and Trina C. Jones (Ronald), of Suffolk. His grandchildren, Adaizha Wiggins, Tyquan Wiggins, Latrell Wiggins, Camren Artis and Keyona Mason will miss him. He has two aunts, Evelyn Collins (William) and Ethel Langston; a special friend, Brenda Atkins; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

A visitation will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at the funeral home. Out of abundance of caution in response to COVID-19, an outside service will be held using social distancing, and all attendees must wear masks. A graveside service will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at the Wiggins Family Cemetery.
