Etta Malene Beamon Wilson, 93, of 109 N. Eighth St., Suffolk, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Eldora Pruden Beamon; her husband, the Rev. William Wilson; four brothers: James, John, Oscar, Arthur T.; four sisters: Margaret Hall, Blanche Watford, Evelyn Hall and Mary Duke.

She was a member of New Middle Swamp Baptist Church, Corapeake, N.C., where she joined at an early age. She attended Open Hands Christian Fellowship Church in Suffolk.

She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters: Lennis Wilson (Suffolk), Dorothy Wilson (Suffolk), Brenda Brown (Dennis) (Indiana); three sons: William Wilson Jr. (Iowa), Melvin Wilson (Chesapeake), Anthony “Thomas” Wilson (Suffolk); one sister: Yvonne Hall (Rhode Island); six grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Middle Swamp Missionary Baptist Church in North Carolina.
