Summer concerts and the Fourth of July fireworks are the latest events to be canceled during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The concerts were scheduled for June 13, June 20 and June 27 as part of the annual TGIF Summer Concert Series. The fireworks and festivities of Fourth of July at Constant’s Wharf Park & Marina are also canceled.

The decision was made “consistent with best practices and recommendations from national, state and local health officials regarding the potential of community spread of the novel coronavirus,” according to a city press release.
