James “Jimmy” Alton Franks, 72, passed away June 16, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2020, at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, 4569 Shoulders Hill Road, Suffolk, VA 23435 with the Rev. Allen Lancaster officiating. Jimmy will be available for viewing at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434 on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. during that time with social distancing encouraged.
