Louise Greene Whitt, of Suffolk, passed away on July 7, 2020. Born Nov. 30, 1924, in Gates County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Robert Edward Greene and Laura Grizzell Brisco Greene. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Elton Duke Jr. and Roy L. Whitt.

Left to cherish her memory are her nieces, Barbara H. Baines (Ben) and Linda H. Wells (Carl).

Louise retired from Leggetts Department Store (Belk). She is a member of First Baptist Church, Suffolk, and a member of Sinai Chapter #18 Order of the Eastern Star, Suffolk.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2020, in Holly Lawn Cemetery, 1525 N. Main St., Suffolk, by Dr. Thurman Hayes Jr. The family is being served by R.W. Baker & Co.
