Melody J. Rawles, of Fayetteville, N.C., was born Nov. 2, 1949, to the late Caroline B. Rawles and William T. Rawles. She was born in Newport News and resided in Suffolk (Whaleyville).

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Desi Rawles, of Suffolk; daughter, Kysha Cutts, of Fayetteville, N.C.; sister Janell Rawles, of Suffolk; grandchildren, Andrea Butts and Kyshawn Cutts, of Fayetteville, N.C., and Jalessia Eure, of Suffolk; great-grandson, Ayden Cutts, of Fayetteville, N.C. She was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Rawles, of Suffolk.
