On Sunday morning, Aug. 9, the Lord called our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Willie “Skip” Brown, home to rest in paradise.
Skip, as he was known to his family and friends, was truly a loving man who loved God and his family. He served his country for 24 years in the U.S. Army. This allowed him to travel all over the world to different places. Skip loved the Lord, and he served Him with all his heart. He was a loving and caring man. He will truly be missed.
There will be a celebration of life at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, in the sanctuary of Bethlehem Church of God in Christ. The viewing will be held privately for his immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family request that financial donations be sent in care of Community Funeral Home, 1210 Ballentine Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23504.
