Man injured in shooting

One man was injured in a shooting that happened at 4:22 a.m. Sunday morning.

Suffolk Police were called to the 600 block of East Washington Street when the shooting was reported, according to a city press release.

The adult male victim suffered injuries not considered life-threatening and was transported to an area hospital.

The incident remains under investigation, and no additional information is available for release.
