Mother Lula Mae Goodman Wiggins, 89, of Pinetree Way, transitioned Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, at her residence. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bishop William P. Wiggins Sr.; father, Elder Linwood Goodman Sr.; mother, Ollie Mae Harrell Goodman; stepmother, Lizzie B. Goodman; sisters, Margaret, Eloise, Joyce and Trina; brothers, Frank, James, Linwood Jr. and Willie Baker; sisters-in-law, Bertha Goodman, Mary Goodman and Gloria Goodman; brothers-in-law, Bishop Herman Reid and Clarence Horton. 

Mother Wiggins was a graduate of East Suffolk High School. She was the Founding First Lady of New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries. She was also a member of the Evangelist Board, Elders Council, Senior Choir and Gospel Choir. She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Brenda M. Wiggins Knight, Linda F. Wiggins Golden and Joan V. Wiggins; son, William P. Wiggins Jr. (Gwen); sister, Ethel Horton; brothers, Cleophus Goodman (Linda) and Otis Goodman; stepsisters, Mary Warren, Mildred Knight, Dollie Ricks and Anita Baker; sisters-in-law, Linda Goodman and Louise Goodman; brothers-in-law, Arthur Jones Sr., Elder R. Warren, Elder Lewis Knight, Apostle Clarence Ricks, Elder Daryl Artis; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a host of surviving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family.

A viewing will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries, 307 County St. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, at New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries. Entombment will be private. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
