A Suffolk man died in a Chesapeake shooting on Friday morning.

Kerry W. Eaton, 26, was the victim of a shooting, according to a news release from Chesapeake Police Department.

Chesapeake Police officers were dispatched at 1:09 a.m. to a report of a disturbance at an apartment in the 3500 block of Towne Point Road. Once on scene, they located Eaton deceased, as well as another man who was injured.

The injured man was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to the press release.

The incident remains under investigation.
