Willette Diann Brown, 67, departed this earthly life on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, at her residence in Virginia Beach. Born in Suffolk, she also lived in the District of Columbia and Maryland for many years. 

Diann graduated from John F. Kennedy High School and Norfolk State University. Her professional career began with her employment by the federal government and later for several federal contractors in human resource management until her retirement.  

Her parents, William and Ernestine Brown; oldest sister, Sandra; and twin brother Darrell preceded her in death. Loving survivors include two sisters, Sheila Brown of Charlotte, N.C. and Jacqueline Brown Woody (Curtis) of Upper Marlboro, Md; sister in law, Belinda Goodman Brown of Suffolk; several devoted nieces and nephews, Lauren Michelle, Jonathan, Derrick, Mikah, Derrina, Jasmyn, Cedric, Jayla, Symone (Goddaughter), Janiia, Caiya, Denzel, Ashad, A’vielle and Aleah. Many other relatives and dear friends also mourn her passing.

A private memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 13, at Crocker Funeral Home. Friends may visit the family from noon to 1 p.m. in accordance with funeral home policy and COVID-19 guidelines. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
