Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Sunday to the parking lot of an Applebee’s restaurant located in the 100 block of Lakeview Parkway. A passenger vehicle struck the building and caused moderate damage, including the left post holding up the covering above the entrance.

Crews from Suffolk Fire & Rescue were able to stabilize the structure. Building officials also responded to the scene of the crash. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation at this time.
