Priscilla Jennifer Galbraith Moore, age 97, formerly of Murfreesboro, passed away on Wednesday evening, March 17, 2021, at Sentara Obici Hospital. Mrs. Moore was born on Aug. 30, 1923, to Floyd Charles Galbraith and Abby Lamerau Galbraith in Somerset County, N.J. Jennifer was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She worked as an editor for the Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald for many years. She always had a keen eye for finding any mistakes. Jennifer also enjoyed working with the Chamber of Commerce. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ivan Moore, and a son, Terry Moore.

Jennifer is survived by her two daughters, Lynn Jenkins and husband Walter, and Lisa Lucas; a son, Tom Moore and wife Gena; four grandsons, Tommy Moore, Walter Jenkins and wife Wendy, David Jenkins and wife Becky, and Stephen Lucas and wife Jennifer; two granddaughters, Angela Moore, and Karen Lucas; a brother, Chester “Chet” Galbraith, numerous great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 20, at Garrett-Sykes Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro, N.C. A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 21, at the Murfreesboro Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, N.C., with the Rev. Lane Bass officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Murfreesboro, N.C.
