“Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.” Proverbs 31:10.

Shirley D. Copeland, 83, departed this earth on March 25, 2021. Shirley was born on Feb. 4, 1938, to the late Robert Lee Walker and Georgia Walker Simmons. Shirley retired from Planters. She is survived by four sons, Sylvester Walker(Barbara), Kent W.Copeland (Tabitha) of Portsmouth, Rickey Copeland (Audrey) of Georgia, and Clinton D. Copeland (Utah); three daughters, Maxine Copeland (Ronald), Celestine Knight (Gary), and Beverly Walker (Johnnie) of Portsmouth; sister-in-law, Evelyn Copeland; bro-in-law, James Carson; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
