Police investigate another bank robbery

Suffolk Police are investigating an armed bank robbery that occurred Tuesday at the BayPort Credit Union located in the 1000 block of University Boulevard.

The robbery was reported at 4:03 p.m., according to a city press release. The subject entered the bank, displayed a firearm, and demanded money. The subject initially fled on foot after receiving an undisclosed amount of currency. There were no injuries.

The subject was further described as a Black male, approximately 6 feet to 6 feet, 3 inches tall, weighing approximately 180 to 190 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket over a white sweatshirt, dark pants and white shoes.

This subject is believed to be the same individual who robbed the BB&T in the 1500 block of North Main Street on April 30, the press release stated.
