Breaking and entering in Magnolia Gardens neighborhood

Two men allegedly broke into a home in the Magnolia Gardens neighborhood early Sunday morning and stole cash and other items, according to Suffolk Police, who said no one was injured in the incident. 

Police responded to the incident in the 200 block of Magnolia Street just before 1 a.m., according to a news release. 

A preliminary investigation by police determined that two people were home when they heard glass break and found a Black man and a White man displaying a large, military-style rifle. The two men left with a purse that had cash and other items in it.
