The Parker Family of Suffolk would like to announce the death of Douglas Lee Parker, 78, of Charleston, S.C. He was the son of the late Joseph and Viola Parker of South Hampton County. Douglas was a 1960 Graduate of Booker T. Washington High School.

He leaves behind his wife, Hazel Parker; one sister, Ella Mae Myrick of Suffolk; and one brother, McCoy Parker (Gwen) of Chesterfield.

A homegoing service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 13, at the Royal Missionary Baptist Church in North Charleston, S.C. Live streaming will be available.
