A beautiful life ended Sunday, June 13, 2021, in Prince George County, when Willie Anthony Walden Jr. went to be with his Lord and Savior. Tony was born in Portsmouth, on Sept. 30, 1975, at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital to Willie Walden and Makhinohn Edwards.

Tony grew up in the Cavalier Manor section of Portsmouth and the Red Mill Farms area in Virginia Beach. He graduated from Kellam High School in Virginia Beach in 1993, then he joined the Navy in 1994. After being discharged, he worked several jobs but found his passion in driving 18-wheeler trucks around the country. Tony became ill in 2005; that put things on hold, and he was under the care of the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Richmond.

Tony loved people, especially his family. He was somewhat a prankster, not knowing what he would be up to. He was a great swimmer and was able to teach his baby sister, Adrienne, how to swim. Tony was there for his family, always ensuring their safety when his father was deployed overseas. He had a big heart and a warm, endearing smile and was truly loved by everyone.
