Suffolk Public Schools, in partnership with Rite Aid Pharmacy, will offer another round of COVID-19 vaccination clinics next week for staff and students ages 12 and up.

First and second doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine will be offered from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. July 13 at King’s Fork Middle School, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. July 14 at King’s Fork High School and from noon until 5 p.m. July 15 at John F. Kennedy Middle School.

The July 13 clinic is on a B cohort day for summer middle school students, and the July 14 clinic an A cohort day for summer high school students.

For parents or guardians of students attending summer school who want their children vaccinated without them present, they need to submit a completed and signed Rite Aid vaccination consent form to the summer school nurse by noon July 12.

To register for one of the clinics, people need to complete the COVID-19 vaccine clinic form at https://bit.ly/3vc8w1r to ensure enough vaccine supply is available at each clinic. Parent permission is required for anyone under 18 to receive the vaccine.

Among those ages 10 to 19 in Suffolk, 3,191 have been vaccinated with at least one dose of the vaccine, and 2,327 have been fully vaccinated. The COVID-19 percent positivity rate in Suffolk as of July 3, the most recent reported date by the Virginia Department of Health, is 5%, up from 0.7% June 19.

The school division hosted vaccination clinics June 22-24 at each of its three high schools.
