More than 1,600 people along Route 17 in Suffolk and Isle of Wight County are without power after a transformer fire caused by the storm.

The Crittenden and Hobson areas are affected, as well as the area just north in Isle of Wight County.

About 1,135 of them are in Suffolk, with the rest in Isle of Wight, according to the Dominion Energy outage map. The map does not give an estimated time of power restoration.
