The victim of Tuesday evening’s fatal single-vehicle crash has been identified as Jaquan Rashad Yulee, 24, of Suffolk.

The crash happened about 7:12 p.m. in the 6400 block of Leafwood Road near South Quay Road, according to a city press release. The passenger vehicle had flipped onto its roof.

Tributes were already pouring in Wednesday morning after Yulee was identified as the victim. Yulee, a Lakeland High School football star who later transferred to Indian River High School, went to play for Marshall University.

The investigation into the cause of the accident remains ongoing.
