The Rekindle Virginia tent revival coming to Suffolk on Oct. 8-10 recently announced a youth explosion happening all three nights.
The event will be held at Bennett’s Creek Park, 3000 Bennetts Creek Park Road, is open to the public, and will start at 7 p.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The “Youth Explosion K-12” will start an hour before the evening service in its own separate area in the park. Youth speaker David Brinkley, originally from Suffolk, of “Youth With A Mission” (YWAM) is coming from Florida, and Youth Entertainer Angel Mone’t is coming from Boston, Massachusetts. Music, games and breakout sessions will be held for all ages.
On Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 2 to 5:30 p.m., there will live Christian bands and gospel music under the big tent (or bring a lawn chair). Families are encouraged to come, as there will be free games for kids and food trucks at a cost.
Church representatives are asked to come to organized meetings at 7 p.m. Aug. 26 and Sept. 23 at Magnolia United Methodist Church, the co-sponsor of the tent revival. It is located at 1764 Wilroy Road, Suffolk, at the corner of Route 58 and Wilroy Road.
Tax-exempt donations can be made to ”Magnolia UMC-Rekindle Virginia” sent to Magnolia UMC, 1764 Wilroy Road, Suffolk, VA 23434, Attn: Rekindle Virginia.
