The pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Friday evening has died, Suffolk Police say.

The victim has been identified as David Burford, of Windsor, according to a Suffolk Police press release.

It happened at 9:31 p.m. Friday in the 700 block of North Main Street. The vehicle involved in the accident remained on scene. Burford had been transported to Sentara Obici Hospital with serious injuries.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation. There is no further information available at this time.
