Police investigate shooting

Suffolk Police are investigating a shooting that happened early Sunday.

Emergency Communications was contacted at 3:26 a.m., and officers responded to the Hoffler Apartments complex in the 2200 block of East Washington Street where the victim, an adult male, was initially located, according to a city press release.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
