Two hurt in shooting

Two people were hurt in a shooting on Hunter Street Friday night, according to Suffolk Police.

The call of shots fired in the 300 block of Hunter Street came in about 10:23 p.m., according to a news release from Suffolk Police. Police then also received more calls advising of injuries to two people, a man and a woman.

The man was treated and released by Suffolk Fire & Rescue. The woman was taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
