Suffolk Police are investigating an armed robbery incident that happened Friday afternoon on North Main Street.

The robbery was reported at 3:38 p.m., according to a city press release. The preliminary investigation indicated that a physical altercation took place between two individuals that began at the Wendy’s in the 700 block of North Main Street and resumed in the Walmart parking lot in the 1200 block of North Main Street.

An adult male was struck with a pistol and robbed of personal belongings, the press release stated. The female suspect then fled the scene. The victim suffered minor injuries.

The incident remains under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
