James Taylor Davis, 43, of Chesapeake, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Oct. 18, 2021, of natural causes. He was born in Suffolk to Calvin T. Davis Jr and Susan B. Davis.

He is predeceased by his grandparents, Calvin T. Davis and Lois Anderson Davis and Benny Lee Benton and Julia Bell Benton.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Jeanin (Jeannie) Davis; daughter, Kylie M. Cole; son, Christian James Davis; and grandson, Kash Reyes.

He is also survived by his brother, Blair Davis (Blair) and sister Liegh R. Davis (John) of Suffolk. He is also survived by his niece, Taylor Renee White; nephew, Dillon Sykes; and God-niece, Sadie Willow Davis.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at Great Fork Baptist Church Cemetery in Whaleyville. Flowers can be sent to RW Baker Funeral Home, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, VA 23434.
