Police investigate Wednesday night shooting

The Suffolk Police are investigating a Wednesday night shooting that occurred in the 100 block of North Capital Street.

The Suffolk 911 Center received a call at 10:40 p.m. of shots being fired in the area of East Washington Street and North Capital Street, according to a Suffolk Police Department news release.

When units arrived, they found several shell casings. A man who sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound took himself to a local hospital for treatment.
