Warrants issued in September shooting

Suffolk Police have secured warrants for a 22-year-old local man on charges connected to a Sept. 2 shooting on Jackson Street.

Police are seeking Tyrese Rahzel Harris, of Suffolk, on multiple charges involving the shooting in the 400 block of Jackson Street, according to a city press release.

Another local man was injured in the shooting.

Warrants have been secured on charges including discharge firearm in public place — bodily injury; malicious wounding by mob; assault: shoot, cut, stab, etc. in commission of felony; robbery; and aggravated malicious wounding.

Harris is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, approximately 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, the press release stated.

Harris is considered armed and dangerous, police said.
