Detra Renee Brown, 42, transitioned Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021, at residence. She was born on Dec. 2, 1978, in Suffolk to John Leroy Knight and Beverly Brown Holloman. She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, John and Louise Knight and brother, Antionne Brown.
Left to treasure her memories are her parents, John Leroy Knight and Beverly Brown Holloman; sister, Robin Gholston; brother, Marquis Brown; aunt, Vera Blakeney; a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15, at Union Baptist Missionary Church, 5414 Nansemond Parkway. She will be laid to rest in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc
