A true definition of a man of faith and one who led his family, Linwood Mitchell “Super Man” Artis, 68, of Kent County, Delaware, died unexpectedly on Nov. 5, 2021. 

He is survived by a loving family: his children, Anthony Acevedo and wife, Reinice Acevedo, Yasmin Duran, Jonathan Artis, Casey Artis and Ty’re Artis; his granddaughters, Evalyse Acevedo, Amya Acevedo and Isabella Acevedo; and Nilda Acevedo, of Dover, Delaware, the mother of his children. 

He is survived by a loving family. Mitch was a devoted father and enjoyed working on cars in his garage and running his own car repair business, Artis Auto Body Shop. He was a simple man who worked hard, led a spiritual life, never put down the weights and laughed abundantly. He was a spiritual man always in good spirits whether worshiping, playing his bass guitar or hanging out with his family. He was a hero and a role model to all, especially his granddaughters, whom he loved dearly. If you saw the smile on his face when with them, you would witness true happiness. He will be remembered for always being eager to help others in any way he could and for the love he had for his family. Mitch truly left this world better than he found it and will forever be loved and missed.
