Aubrey Hunter Holland, 70, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at Norfolk Sentara Heart Hospital. Aubrey was born to the late Clifton Hunter and June Moore Holland on April 21, 1951. After high school, he attended Frederick College (now Tidewater Community College), but his attendance was interrupted by his enlistment in the US Navy in April 1971. He served just under 22 years combined active and reserve duty, including a recall to active duty during Operation Desert Storm. He returned to TCC and earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Management.

Aubrey is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janice B. Holland; daughter, Cindy Devers (David); granddaughter, Alexis E. Devers; brother, Randolph Holland (Nancy); sisters, Janet Britt (Joe) and Linda Ward (Jimmy-deceased); brother-in-law, James E. Brown Sr. (Linda) and a host of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Aubrey was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church, the American Legion, AARP and the Loyal Order of the Moose. He was a gifted florist, which served as a hobby for him for many years.

There will be a visitation from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, at Bethlehem Christian Church. Interment will be private with Military Honors.
