A trio of airports in the region will receive federal money over the next five years following the passage of an infrastructure deal that President Joe Biden recently signed into law.

The Hampton Roads Executive Airport in Chesapeake off of U.S. Route 58 will receive $1.48 million, and the Suffolk Executive Airport and the Franklin Regional Airport each will receive $790,000.

Airports throughout the state will receive $399.7 million, Sens. Mark Warner and Tim Kaine announced last week. The money represents the state’s share of $15 billion in direct grants to airports expected around the country due to the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
