A man is dead after a shooting in the 200 block of Burnetts Way.

Police were called at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, a Suffolk Police Department press release stated. The victim, Tre’von Antonyo Lewis, 22, of Suffolk, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

There are multiple units still on scene, and a large police presence will be in the area for several hours, the press release stated.

The roadway has reopened.
