Emmett Edward Burton, age 88, died at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk on Nov. 30, 2021.

He was a graduate of Auburn University. He was the owner of Ferguson Manufacturing with his surviving wife, Noreita (Nita) Burton since 2003. He is survived by his brothers Leroy and Billy; his first wife, Anna Marie; and four sons, Steven, Richard, Jeffery and Christopher. He is also survived by several siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends.

Services will take place at 1 p.m. Monday Jan. 3, at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk.
