Monday night shooting victim identified as Suffolk man

Suffolk Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Monday night.

The shooting in the 100 block of North Capital Street was reported at 8:50 p.m., according to a Suffolk Police Department press release.

The adult male victim was located on scene and pronounced deceased, the press release stated. He was later identified as Demonz Markese Wilson, 31, of Suffolk.

The investigation is ongoing, and no additional information is available for release.
