Suffolk Police have arrested a 17-year-old in a Dec. 28 shooting, according to a city press release.

The incident happened in the 400 block of Wilson Street. The teenager has been charged with shooting from occupied vehicle, shooting into occupied dwelling, possession of firearm by juvenile, use or display firearm in commission of a felony, reckless handling of firearm, destruction of property, discharge firearm in public place, and shooting in/across road or in street.

The juvenile is in custody and will be transferred to Chesapeake Juvenile Services, the press release stated.

Virginia State Code prohibits law enforcement from identifying juveniles charged with a criminal offense.
