Gladys I. Benton, 88, of Charlotte Avenue, transitioned Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, at Sentara Obici Hospital. A celebration of life will be held at noon, Friday, Feb. 4, at Holy Trinity Church, 3611 Thorne Ave. Portsmouth. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
