Jill T. Fair, 75, passing peacefully in her Suffolk home, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022. She was born in Jacksonville, Fla. to the late Gerald W. (Jerry) and Mona-Maree (Bunny/Peaches) McRorie Toler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Greg A. Fair; her infant brother “Mac” Toler and sister, Gerri Irene Toler Garrett.

Jill graduated from Norview High School, class of 1965, in Norfolk. An advocate of lifelong learning, she always sought to better herself in the caring of others obtaining numerous certificates from Liberty University and recognized for her humanitarian efforts volunteering at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was also a Certified Nurse Assistant and member of her beloved Holy Neck Christian Church in Suffolk.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Billy (Mai) Stakes, Tammy (Irene) Stakes and Neil Fair; grandchildren, Andrea, Jerry and CJ Stakes, Dylan Fair; step-grandchildren, Geo Hill, Alex and Mario Koufodontis; three great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jerry Garrett; nephew, Cole; nieces, Terri and Sarah and cousin, Cindy McRorie.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 12, at Holy Neck Christian Church in Suffolk with the Rev. Dr. Dave Meadors officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Neck Christian Church building fund, 4400 Holy Neck Road., Suffolk, VA 23437. R.W. Baker & Co.
