Suspects sought in vehicle tamperings

The Suffolk Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance identifying suspects from several tampering with vehicle incidents that occurred at the Park 216 Apartments in the 1000 block of Beringer Road at approximately 2:40 a.m. on Feb. 6.

A group of unidentified males was observed tampering with vehicle door handles and stealing personal belongings from vehicles. the suspects’ vehicles are believed to be a dark colored SUV silver sedan shown on surveillance footage moving through the parking lot with their headlights on.

Suffolk Police continue to encourage residents to lock their vehicle doors and do not leave any valuables in a vehicle. These situations present crimes of opportunity for criminals.
