Three Suffolk men have been arrested in connection to a March 19 shooting on Brook Avenue that injured two people.

Suffolk Police said officers have arrested Taevion Orlando Nasiah Thompson, 21, Willie Keshawn Green, 19, and Demonte Lee Graham, 26 and charged each of them with three felony counts of discharging a firearm or missile in or at an occupied building, along with felony counts of using or displaying a firearm in the commission of a felony, firearm possession by a felon (non-violent within 10 years) and attempting to commit a non-capital offense.

Thompson and Ingram also face a felony count of conspiracy to commit a felony, and Green faces a misdemeanor count of failure to appear after being charged with a felony or misdemeanor.

Suffolk Police announced March 20 that it had warrants out for the arrest of Green and Steven Donnell Green Jr., 21, of Suffolk. Green Jr. faces similar charges to the two who have been arrested, including three felony counts of discharging a firearm or missile in or at an occupied building, along with felony counts of using or displaying a firearm in the commission of a felony, firearm possession by a felon (non-violent within 10 years) and attempting to commit a non-capital offense.

Suffolk Police said the March 19 shooting in the 900 block of Brook Avenue caused minor injuries to two people – a man and a woman. Both were treated at the scene, and the man was taken to the hospital.

The Suffolk 911 center received several calls about shots fired in the area around 7:35 p.m., according to police. Brook Avenue runs parallel to Kilby Avenue south of Railroad Avenue near downtown.

Officers found shell casings and several occupied residences, and a vehicle that had been struck by bullets. Witnesses told police the incident began when a group of people attempted to start a physical altercation with another group, according to police, and several people pulled out guns and began shooting, police said.
