The Suffolk Foundation has canceled its annual Grown-up Spelling Bee.

The event had been scheduled for May 14 at John Yeates Middle School.

It was last held in 2020. The 2021 event was canceled due to COVID-19.

Organizers cited “busy community schedules, multiple school activities and the excitement of spring” in canceling this year’s bee.
